Project “Blockchain-Wikipedia” raised $ 30 million from the fund of Mike Novograc

The project Everipedia , which is a commercial fork of Wikipedia, attracted $ 30 million from the Galaxy Digital cryptobank, founded by investor Mike Novogratz. The funds are needed for the project to transfer its database to the Blockchain.

Everipedia was founded in 2014 as “more lively Wikipedia for the generation of Snapchat.” The post of Director of Information in Everipedia is currently held by co-founder of Wikipedia Larry Sanger.

Last year, the project announced plans to move the entire infrastructure to the EOS Blockchain to create a censored system based on smart-contracts. Also tokens released on the platform will be used to reward volunteers.
